Print UV 2022 Keynoter Warren Werbitt Encapsulates Passion for Print and Possibilities in Lively Opening Address

Industry disrupter Warren Werbitt got PRINT UV 2022 off to a rousing start in his opening keynote address titled “Why UV Matters in the Crazy World of Graphic Arts.” After a two-year pandemic hiatus, PRINT UV kicked off yesterday, March 17, at the Wynn Encore Las Vegas with a timely educational program led by industry experts along with plenty of opportunity for long-overdue in-person camaraderie and idea sharing.

Werbitt set the tone for the event in his opening address by sharing his passion for print and pointing to the unprecedented opportunities that today’s UV and LED-UV technology brings for print and new avenues for business.

“Every single person needs print. It’s a 24/7 experience and wakes up every sense. It covers every aspect of our lives, everywhere. It’s tied to emotion and feeling and we know how to achieve the power of print and raise the bar with UV effects,” he proclaimed.

The keynoter urged printers to take advantage of a whole new level of opportunity by working with brands that are increasingly combining digital and print marketing. This includes incorporating interactive elements like NFC tap-and-go technology and QR codes.

He also urged printers to band together to revitalize the industry with new ideas, talent and perspectives by bringing in the younger generation, as well as more women.

“Print is forever evolving, changing the way it’s delivered, and is getting bigger and there is no better business in the world,” he stated. “We need to take them under our wing and talk about it and they will talk about it and it spirals.”

Well-known throughout the industry as “The Print Whisperer,” Werbitt has built his businesses and brands by pushing boundaries, creating traction and “saying what many people are too afraid to say about the printing industry.” For more than 25 years he has outspokenly evangelized print and immersed clients into a world in which their brands “vibrate” through next-level print communications.

Werbitt founded and ran Pazazz, one of Canada’s most innovative printing companies, and went on to embarking on a solo career as an outspoken advocate for print in all forms through his new platform theprintwhisperer.com.

He regularly advises numerous companies, associations and media in the industry on strategy and evangelization of the printing message, holds roles on influential print industry boards and provides regular commentary on WhatTheyThink.com. He promises in his keynote address not to sugarcoat and to deliver the “honest truth” as it relates to the reality of the print industry today.
